Are you born of God?



1 John:5.4
 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.


Exposition
Beloved in Christ, LORD Jesus has given us another day to witness His Mercies and Grace. Are you born of God? You go to church and participate in all church activities, yes, you pay your tithes and all. But have you bothered to ask yourself if you're born of God?

Being born of God doesn't necessarily mean participating in all church activities, being born of God doesn't mean using your gift to manipulate others, being born of God doesn't guarantee you being free from sin.

Being born of God is being the source of comfort and inspiration, your presence brings peace, your life reflects the light of Christ. Your words are words of life. Whatever you do and wherever you go, people see Christ in you. That's what being born of God is.

It is never too late to re-dedicate your life once more to Christ, He's forever waiting on you to turn back to Him. Make it count.

Prayer

Dear LORD, have mercy on me. Let your forgiveness reach me now Jesus, little did I know that my deeds were as a responsibility to be forfeited to satisfy man. Now, your word has made me realize that my life should reflect your light. Let your strength engulf me and make me successful in living to reflect your light in Jesus's Name.

'Am I in your DNA?' asks the LORD.

1 Corinthians:15.49   And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven. Exposition Beloved in Christ, the book of Genesis revealed how perfectly and miraculously God  made man from dust. After Adam, whom God knit with His own hands, the rest of us came from man; flesh and blood. Are you bearing the likeness of God? Can God's attributes be found in you? Are you portraying God's presence on earth? In short, is God in your DNA? Bearing the likeness of God is living as God on earth. Being as God doesn't mean boasting about in pride, it doesn't mean, letting the world bow to your knees or perhaps, using your status to influence favors that will deprive the less privileged. Bearing the likeness of God is you being just as Christ was. He is the man from heaven. He was humble despite His superiority in heaven. He was a servant, regardless of His status as God's son.
